Frequently Asked Questions
Is the white cool or warm?
Warm. It reads as a soft clean white rather than a blue white, so it brightens a room without making it feel cold.
How does it compare to Melon?
Identical shape and ribbing, different colour. Calabash is white, Melon is beige. Pick white to brighten a dark room and beige to warm a cool one.
Can I hang more than one?
A row of two or three over an island or a long table looks excellent. Keep the drops matched so the shades line up cleanly.
Does the ribbing show through when lit?
Yes, and it is at its best then. The light picks out every rib, turning a plain white shade into a finely striped glow.
Do white shades show dust?
Less than you would think, but a vacuum on the lowest setting once or twice a year keeps it looking new. Keep it dry.
