How small is it really?
Small enough for a narrow hallway, a stair wall or a tight bedside gap where a full size sconce would dominate. It still throws proper light, it just does it without taking over the wall.
Will it match the larger Winslow fixtures?
Yes, that is exactly what it is for. The arm curve and the finish are shared across the range, so a Calder in the hall and a Winslow over the table read as one scheme rather than two purchases.
What height should it be mounted at?
Around sixty inches from the floor for a hallway or stairwell. Beside a bed, mount it lower so the light lands where you read. The backplate covers a standard box at either height.
Is it bright enough on its own?
In a hallway or a small room, yes. In a larger space treat it as layered light alongside a ceiling fixture. A dimmable warm bulb gets the most out of it either way.
How do I keep the finish even?
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth and leave the polish in the cupboard. The finish is sealed, so it holds its tone on its own and abrasives are the only thing that will spoil it.
