Will the leather strap hold the weight?
Comfortably. The strap is thick, properly stitched and carries the shade with room to spare. It is a structural part of the fixture, not a cover over a cable.
Can the drop length be adjusted?
Yes, the strap is set at installation so you can dial in the height the room needs. Over a table aim for about thirty inches of clearance above the surface.
Does the leather dry out over time?
Not in a normal room. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat and it stays supple, gaining a little colour the way good leather does.
Where does Camden look best?
Over a kitchen island, a small dining table or a reading corner. Anywhere close enough that people notice the strap and the stitching that goes with it.
How do I care for both materials?
Dry soft cloth on the stone, the same on the leather. No conditioner needed and nothing wet on the alabaster. Two minutes a year is genuinely enough.
