Frequently Asked Questions
Is the light directed or soft?
Directed. A metal shade sends the light where it points, which makes this the practical choice beside a bed, a desk or a reading chair.
Will it suit a traditional room?
It leans modern. In a period room it works as a deliberate contrast, but if you want the fixture to blend in, one of the stone or candlestick pieces is the better fit.
How far does it project?
Enough to put the light clear of the wall without reaching into a walkway. It suits a bedside, a study wall or a hallway with normal clearance.
Can I fit a pair?
Pairs work well either side of a bed, where the directed light gives each person their own reading light without lighting the whole room.
What is the upkeep?
A dry soft cloth over the arm and shade. No polish, since the finish is sealed and abrasives are the only real risk to it.
