Is it only for a child's room?
Not at all. In a kitchen, a snug or a relaxed dining room it reads as characterful rather than childish, particularly against a plain scheme.
Will the pom poms come loose?
They are fixed to the rim rather than hung on a loose thread, so normal use will not shed them. Just avoid tugging on them.
How high should it hang?
Measure to the bottom of the trim, not the shade, and keep about thirty inches above a table. The drop can be shortened at installation.
Does the trim block light?
It softens the rim rather than blocking the output. Light still falls through the open base, just without a hard edge to the pool.
How do I clean the trim?
Vacuum the shade on the lowest setting and fluff the pom poms with your fingers. Keep everything dry.
