How dark is the bronze?
Deep and warm rather than black, with variation across the surface. Against a pale wall it reads as a strong outline. Against dark timber it settles in and disappears until it is lit.
Will it match brass fittings elsewhere?
It sits alongside brass comfortably because both are warm metals. If you want an exact match, choose one metal per room and let the other appear in furniture instead.
Where does it suit best?
Rooms with warmth already in them, timber, stone, deep paint. Hallways, snugs, bedsides and stairwells all take it well.
Is the light directed downward?
Yes. A metal cone directs rather than diffuses, so you get a defined pool below it. That makes it genuinely useful next to a bed or above a console.
Does bronze need polishing?
