Frequently Asked Questions
Does the light point up or down?
Down and outward. The cone opens toward the floor, so you get a soft pool of light below it and a gentle wash across the wall. That makes it useful beside a bed or along a hallway rather than purely decorative.
How close to the wall does it sit?
Very close. The arm is deliberately slim and short, so the fixture stays out of the way in a corridor or a small bedroom where anything deeper would catch a shoulder.
What bulb suits it best?
A warm white bulb, dimmable if you can. The alabaster tone is built for warm light and it flattens out under a cold bulb, so stay on the warmer end and the shade does the rest.
Can I mount a pair on the same wall?
Pairs are where it looks best. Either side of a bed, a mirror or a doorway, spaced evenly, the two cones balance each other and light the wall without any dark gap in the middle.
How do I clean the shade?
A soft dry cloth, inside and out, every few months. Keep moisture and cleaning sprays off the shade and it holds its even colour rather than staining.
