Can the drop be shortened?
Yes, it is cut to length at installation. The long drop is the maximum, so it suits both a tall stairwell and a standard kitchen island.
Where does a long drop help most?
Stairwells, double height entries and vaulted kitchens. Without one, a high ceiling leaves the light stranded far above the space you use.
How low should it sit over an island?
Thirty to thirty six inches above the worktop. Keep the bottom of the dome above eye level for anyone standing at the counter.
Can I hang a row of them?
Yes, and over a long island a run of three looks excellent. Match the drops exactly so the domes sit level with one another.
How do I clean it?
A soft cloth over the dome once or twice a year. Because it hangs low, most rooms need only a step ladder to reach it.
