Is the fringe fixed or loose?
Attached firmly at the rim and hanging free below, which is what gives it movement. It will not shed or pull loose in normal use.
Where does it suit best?
A bedroom, a snug, a child's room or a relaxed dining space. It is the most playful piece in the range and it works where the room is not too formal.
How low should it hang?
About thirty inches above a table, and clear of head height anywhere people walk. Measure to the bottom of the fringe rather than the shade.
Does the fringe block the light?
It softens the edge rather than blocking it. Light still comes down through the open base, just without the hard circular rim a plain cone gives.
How do I clean the fringe?
Comb it gently with your fingers to keep it hanging straight and vacuum the shade on a low setting. Keep the cotton dry.
