How dark is the indigo?
Deep enough to read as near black at a distance, with the blue coming through up close and under light. That shift is one of the nicest things about it.
Where does it suit best?
Hallways, bedsides and small landings, where people pass close enough to see the porcelain. It also works well flanking a mirror.
Will the glaze chip?
Fired porcelain is hard wearing and the glaze is not going to fade or scratch in normal use on a wall. Just avoid knocking it during installation.
Does it match brass fittings elsewhere?
The brass sits comfortably with other warm metals in the room. If you have a strict brass scheme, this one adds a colour accent rather than breaking it.
How do I clean it?
The porcelain takes a lightly damp cloth then dry. Use a dry cloth only on the brass, since polish will wear the sealed finish.
