Frequently Asked Questions
Is it heavy for a chandelier?
Lighter than it looks. Rope over a slim internal frame keeps the weight down, so it mounts to a standard ceiling box without special bracing.
Where does it work best?
Over a dining table, in a double height entry or in a room with plenty of white and timber. It brings texture at a scale a small pendant cannot.
How does it compare to Reed?
Both use natural fibre in tiers, but Ripple is a full chandelier built as one form. Reed is a pendant. Choose Ripple when the fixture needs to hold the room.
What sort of light does it throw?
Warm and patterned, with light escaping between the tiers onto the ceiling and a broad pool below. It is atmosphere first and brightness second.
How is it cleaned?
Vacuum on a low setting with a soft brush once or twice a year, working around each tier. Keep it dry.
