Will it glare at eye level?
No. The stone diffuses the bulb completely, so you see a warm lit sphere rather than a filament. That is what makes it comfortable beside a bed or a mirror.
Is the alabaster genuine stone?
Yes, cut and shaped from natural alabaster. The veining that shows when it is lit is the proof, and it runs differently on every single globe.
Where does it work best?
Beside a bed, either side of a mirror, or spaced along a hallway. Anywhere you want warm light at face height without a hard beam.
What bulb should I use?
Warm white and dimmable. A cool bulb flattens the stone and washes out the veining. Warm light brings the pattern forward and makes the globe look alive.
How do I clean the globe?
A dry soft cloth around the surface. Keep water and sprays away from the stone and it holds its colour permanently.
