Frequently Asked Questions
Is the linen real fabric?
Yes, stretched over a frame tier by tier. That is what gives the shade its soft edge and the gentle way light passes through each layer.
Where does it hang best?
Over a dining table, in a bedroom, or in an entry with some height. It works particularly well in a room with hard surfaces that needs softening.
Does the beige read yellow?
It reads warm rather than yellow, and it lights warmer still. Against cool grey walls it brings the temperature up, which is usually exactly what a grey room needs.
How much light does it give?
Generous and soft. Fabric diffuses rather than directs, so you get a broad comfortable spread. Add a dimmer and it handles both dinner and late evening.
How do I clean the linen?
Vacuum gently on the lowest setting with a soft brush head, once or twice a year. Do not wet it. Dust is the only thing that dulls a linen shade.
